Sustainability is embedded across every part of our business. We are committed to complying with all relevant environmental legislation while continuously improving our environmental performance through clear targets, measurement, and accountability.
Our focus includes reducing greenhouse gas emissions, improving energy efficiency, conserving water, and minimising waste across our operations. We actively encourage responsible behaviours throughout our supply chain and work with partners who share our commitment to ethical, environmentally responsible practices.
By designing products for longevity and performance, we aim to reduce over-consumption and champion a more sustainable approach to outdoor gear.
Our Commitment
Sealskinz is committed to aligning its climate targets with the Science Based Targets initiative (SBTi), in line with the apparel and footwear sector guidance. We have established emissions reduction targets across Scope 1, 2 and key Scope 3 categories, supported by ongoing improvements in energy efficiency, sustainable materials, and responsible supply chain management.
As a small-to-medium enterprise, we are currently following the SBTi SME pathway and are working towards strengthening and publishing science-based reduction targets that reflect both best practice and the scale of our operations. Progress against these targets is reviewed regularly and forms part of our broader sustainability and ECOVADIS reporting.
We carefully consider the materials used in our products to minimise environmental impact without compromising performance. Our clothing collections are crafted using recycled and responsibly sourced materials, an extension of our long-standing commitment to durability, repairability, and mindful production. By choosing recycled fibres, we reduce our reliance on virgin materials and minimise waste that would otherwise end up in landfills or pollute our natural spaces.
Our packaging is made from recycled materials that are fully biodegradable. Reducing waste is a key pillar of our sustainability strategy. We use eco-friendly packaging solutions such as biodegradable materials, soya-based inks, and responsibly sourced alternatives wherever possible. Our goal is to minimise packaging volume, reduce landfill waste, and continually improve recyclability across our packaging formats, helping customers make more sustainable choices from purchase to end of life.
We recognise that meaningful environmental change requires collaboration. We work closely with suppliers, logistics partners, and industry stakeholders to reduce emissions, promote cleaner production methods, and support responsible sourcing practices Enviornmental Policy. By engaging our partners in our sustainability goals, we aim to drive continuous improvement across the chain and contribute to positive environmental impact beyond our own operations.

Our Partnership with Greenspark
We partner with Greenspark to ensure every purchase helps create measurable environmental and social impact. Through this partnership, we support verified climate-positive projects that focus on ecosystem restoration, carbon reduction, and community development.
One of the key initiatives we contribute to is mangrove restoration in coastal Kenya, where degraded habitats are being regenerated to capture carbon, protect biodiversity, and support local livelihoods. These projects help stabilise shorelines, improve fisheries, and provide paid employment for local communities.
